Diabetic (diebetic) diets differs from normal diets in that they try to balance calories and exercise with
your medication to achieve controlled blood glucose levels. There is no such thing as a universal diabeties diet, all meal plans must be tailored to the diabetes patient.

A good diabietes diet is usually high in its relative content of carbohydrate (carbs). Carbohydrates come from fruit and veg, whole grains and similar foods. A guideline is to keep the carbohydrate and fat amount at least on 60% of the total amount of calories, maybe even as high as over 70%. The precise number here will be depending on other factors such as your job, BMI, general lifestyle etc. Your dietician, or your doctor, should be able to give you more precise advice in this matter.
It is important to keep the potein content of good diabetic diets on a low level, maybe around 1/5 of the complete calorie count should be protein based in a perfect dibetic diet. When composing the recipes (receipts), try to avoid using proteins derived from meat because this means high fat levels. Adding proteins from fish or soy products, poultry as well, are better choices for the composition of the diet for diabetics.
Avoiding animal fats in a good diebetic diet is a good rule. Other things to stay clear of is acids of the trans-fatty type. These products are often found in ready made meals such as fast food or things out of the readymeal counter in the supermarket. Typical for animal fats are that they are saturated but this is not what you want, you rather want the fats of the monosaturated type from things like olive oil.
Being a diabetic does not mean you can not have any sugar at all, it does however mean that you need to keep a low level of sugar and sweetness in the food. Of the different sweet foods, healthiest in a dibetic diet are products such as fresh fruits. Diabeties meal plans and diets for diebetes.

Hypoglycemia is a dangerous state where caused by wide fluctuations to the blood glucuse levels and it is important to achieve better meal plans consisting of several smaller meals and utilize glycemic index planning when constructing diebetes diets using GI receipts (recipes).
